..through the Surrey countryside back in May was our latest fundraising event. We were lucky, the sun was shining and despite the strong wind everything was set fine for the first Jill Spires Memorial Walk. It was great to see so many people turn up and the mood was wonderful, more a reunion that a charity event. We had a terrific spread of ages from George (2 years old) to Ray (mid 70's, sorry if I got that slightly wrong!). I have to mention Ray as he strolled around the 7 and a half miles of countryside tracks and hills as if he was 50 years younger - he will be first on the list for next year! Thanks go to everyone that donated and sponsored the event and also to everyone that walked - Neil, George, Helen, Erin, John, Ray, Ian, Gail, Laura, Matt, Tom, Charlie, Jodie and of course Fluke! Over £200 was raised which far exceeded our target. Thanks again to everyone involved.
